Cover My Tracks had no additional plugins, far lower than most of the products reviewed. A plugin is a small piece of interface software that allows your computer to erase the history of the last used files within certain desktop applications like image viewers, graphical editors, chat, email, readers, etc.

Feature Set:  

Cover My Tracks' Internet browser cleaning features included address bar, auto-complete, cache (Temporary Internet Files), cookies, favorites list, and history of visited URLs. The Windows cleaning features included find/search history, recently opened documents, recycle bin, run history, and temporary files/directories. The product had a cleaning option that allowed you to schedule cleaning functions. Cover My Tracks had no special options that most of the other products included. The product supports Internet Explorer/MSN.

Help/Documentation:  

The product was very weak in the documentation and help area. The technical support for Cover My Tracks was available through both live chat and email/online forms, one of few products to offer both. There were no online updates available with the product. Supported environments for Cover My Tracks include XP, NT4, 2000, ME, and 98.

Overall, Cover My Tracks is a good product, but is lacking in several feature areas.
