Ease of Use:  

CyberScrub's latest version has newly added enhancements that moves it forward to compete with the best privacy programs—a redesigned user interface is more sophisticated, but at the same time proves to be user-friendly.

The program incorporates various wizards to help you through the many processes that CyberScrub offers. You can choose between a basic scan and an advanced scan. Regardless of your knowledge of computers, you will immediately feel comfortable using the basic scan and know that you won't harm your computer. On the other hand, more technically savvy individuals can comb over their computer with advanced options, making this is a program for everyone.

One thing that this program is missing is the ability to preview files and folders before you erase them. This helpful feature gives you one last chance to decide whether you really want to delete the files or not.

Ease of Installation/Setup:  

This program is very easy to install and setup—we didn't encounter any problems.

Privacy Effectiveness:  

CyberScrub is one of the few products that supports all of the major email plugins, including Outlook Express, Netscape Mail, and Eudora. The software also supports all of the major browser plugins.

The program does a thorough job of checking key areas that contain sensitive information and the history of your internet activities such as; web browser cache, temporary Internet files, recent document lists, temporary files, history, windows files, index files and cookies.

You can easily erase entire folder structures including all sub folders and even an entire drive if you choose. CyberScrub offers multiple levels of erasing from a simple erase to an erase that surpasses even military and government standards.

Feature Set:  

One nice feature that CyberScrub includes is the ability to scramble file and folder proprieties. It will scramble the name of the file, the date, size etc., making it nearly impossible for data recovery tools to find information.

CyberScrub can also wipe your hard drive's free space. We do not recommend doing this during business or personal use--save this option for when no one will be using the computer.

CyberScrub has multiple options for the deletion of files. Some might argue that this should be automatic, but for those concerned about deleting too much, these are helpful and useful security features.

According to the manufacturer, CyberScrub is the only product to use the ISAAC random number generator--a cryptographically secure pseudo random number generator. This means more security options including the ability to address 22 different peer-to-peer applications

Help/Documentation:  

CyberScrub does an excellent job of explaining the various levels of security swiping. Its help and documentation pages are good, they include an online form and email address for customer service questions.

Overall, CyberScrub is a very good product. Anyone, regardless of their knowledge of computers, who is interested in keeping their personal information secure, should check out CyberScrub.
