WinTracks is very easy to install and setup on your computer.

Privacy Effectiveness:  

Wintracks had no additional plugins, far lower than most of the products reviewed. A plugin is a small piece of interface software that allows your computer to erase the history of the last used files within certain desktop applications like image viewers, graphical editors, chat, email, readers, etc.

Feature Set:  

Wintrack's Internet browser cleaning features included address bar, cache (Temporary Internet Files), cookies, and history of visited URLs. Windows cleaning functions included clipboard data, find/search history, index.dat, Media Player history, MS Office history, recently opened documents, recycle bin, run history, scan disk temporary files, and user selected files/directories. Wintracks had a scheduling of cleaning options available and password protection. The product supports Internet Explorer/MSN and Netscape Navigator.

Help/Documentation:  

The product received a poor rating for help and documentation because of a communication error back to the server. There was no visible Technical support available, the only product that had no support offerings. There were no online updates available with the product. Supported environments for Wintracks include XP, NT4, 2000, ME, 98, and 95.

Overall, Wintracks is a fair product, but is lacking in technical support, access to help and documentation, and in several feature areas.
